Nothing terribly insane going on over here, for once. Whenever things get calm for me, it always scares me just a little bit because I think things can't stay good forever, right? Something will happen to throw a wrench into things- it's inevitable. After the craziness of the past couple of months, I decided to take a much needed vacation. I took the train down to Chicago, visited with Laura, Jackie, and the pup, and just relaxed. It was so nice. And if you don't follow me on instagram, you don't know that I just got a new camera. I'm obsessed with it. My Chicago photos weren't taken with my new camera, but the two photographs that make up the diptych above were and I am thoroughly loving this camera. I'm getting used to how different using the manual functions are from my previous camera, but I'd had that other camera for nearly five years. Of course I would know it's functions backwards and forwards. It'll take a little bit of time, but I know I'll learn it like the back of my hand.
