it's hard to believe that christmas is a week from saturday. working at the mall, i've been in a christmas mindset since october when we were instructed to order christmas supplies. i only just finished ordering alex's presents this morning. i hope he likes the one thing i bought him that was not on his list. i mean, i know he liked it when we saw it so just hope he wants to own it. i've never had a boyfriend to buy things for. we're big gift givers. i have many tv show seasons, movies, and camera accessories thanks to him.
today, i finally put our house in the christmas spirit. my mom was right-- it made me feel better. the weather can make me melancholy and feel really shitty so it was fun to spend the afternoon stressing over the space of the bulbs i hung along our windows or where to put the tree. i'm hoping for a warm-up of milwaukee soon (hahaha, yeah right), but i think before i go to jessica's tonight, i'm going to drive by the neighborhoods i saw with lots of lights and take photos. i can't wait for laura to come home so we can have a night cap and get seasonal drinks and drive around looking at all the pretty lights.
