our riotous defects

i've been sort of neglecting updating. i took these photos thursday night and i am so addicted to dexter that every free moment i have, i am watching dexter. i never thought i would enjoy a show about a serial killer so much, but there is more to it than the ads and show descriptions make it out to be. i don't want to get all philosophical about it, but if you're thinking about maybe watching it, i'd give it a chance. i'm no longer left out of the conversation. i know so many people that watch it.

anyhow, i've been working on some new photography things. besides the whole wanting to experiment with the double exposure on my camera, i have been wanting to take night photos with my new lens in the city ever since i took photos the night before the big snow storm. i wanted to go downtown and see the lights of the buildings. i finally took some time to do that thursday and i just wanted to share some results.

this would've been great if the wind hadn't been trying to knock me over

ah, and for an added bonus, just because i'm obsessed with this song/it got me through the day/i've used it twice to title posts on here, enjoy the delightful sounds of of montreal.

  1. ahhh. i can't decide if i want to watch dexter or not. i don't like blood and one of my friends (who loves the show) told me i shouldn't watch it for that reason. but i want to watch it! i just dont' want nightmares haha

  2. yeah, if you don't like blood, maybe you shouldn't watch it, hehe. i mean, he IS a blood spatter analyst so besides being a serial killer and tracking murderers for the cops, he recreates murders to figure out the spatter patterns. gets kind of gruesome, even if you tell yourself, "it's only corn syrup."
