sinister kid

please don't be too mad. blame it on all of the information i am getting from the e-conference (and the live chat with Elizabeth [Delightfully Tacky]). i've changed my name again. no, my name is still Elis. however, this blog's name is officially now LIGHT READING. i do realize that my URL is not that, but the variations i came up with (hyphen, no hyphen...kind of like two last names, which i have) were taken! doh! so i had to come up with something that was aesthetically pleasing to me and also to say out loud.

what does it mean? well, it means the times, they are a-changing. haha, just kidding. i'm just trying to be more flexible with my blog. two posts in two days! holy cow, it must be a miracle. what are some things i am passionate about? if i enjoy something, i throw myself whole-heartedly into it. i'm passionate about loads of things. i have narrowed what my main passions are to three things: photography (which was the initial point of this blog), reading (i've always loved reading and it helps that i work in a bookstore), and cooking (totally deleted milwaukee kitchen today for a fresh start).

i am now moving on with a new topic.

i started the list almost two years ago when i was visiting my abuela in new york and my book obsession almost cost me an extra $30 for my checked luggage. then it cost me my brand new urban outfitters bag, but whatever. i have since moved on (and purchased a more durable bag!) from that experience and am trying to stay on track with the list. the first one i started in new york one night when it was storming (which was terrifying since we were on the 9th floor and the whole building was swaying) and the second one is the more accurate/neat one i made at the end of december.

also, just wanted to add this because a)Annie, Elendil, Cheeky, etc. is awesome and b)it just shows there is at least one person who reads my blog :)
