a walk in the woods

It's been warming up all week. It has been sunny most of the time. I got to enjoy today. I decided to celebrate (after errands, of course) with a walk in the woods. No, not the Bill Bryson book (though I should review that because it's awesome) but literally, a walk in the woods. I was nervous because I thought things would be mucky and muddy, but I was totally wrong. Sure, there were some spots of muddiness that I did not like and tried my hardest to avoid (apparently, I'd rather be stabbed by branches that step one foot in mud). I don't know how long I was on that walk. It was more so a photographic exploration where I could use up the film in my Holga, as well as take photos for the blog. I lost track of time and was stuck with camera face most of the time. Ran into a family enjoy the lovely outdoors. It was great! When I arrived at the forest center, I noticed something odd...

This guy was just chillin' on the roof, like Yep, I run this shit. Bow down to me! I'm sure that's not what it was thinking, but it was cool that I caught him before he wandered off towards the back of the roof where I could no longer capture shots of him. Onward to the rest of my photos. Some at the end are black and white because of the lack of green (insert sad face here) things just looked dingy and not so fun.
