challenges

Life is a constant challenge. The way we deal with those challenges will help shape how we come out in the end. A lot of my stress coping lately has gone to yoga. I bow to thee, yoga. As I mentioned in my last post, I had been doing Instagram yoga challenges to maintain consistent practice, and created a tumblr to hold myself accountable as well. In this recent challenge, we got our pal Ann to participate as well! It's become contagious amongst our friends, but that's great. We're not badgering people into it; they take note, and want to participate, too! It's a fun community I am beginning to learn. I have made great strides, as you'll see from my photos compared to earlier this month. Daily practice is important. Even if for a moment-- it's worth it.

I haven't been terribly consistent in my yoga practice. That was true up until last month when my dear, beautiful friend, Mary, challenged me to a pose-a-day Instagram challenge. I let work and exhaustion overwhelm me. I fell quickly behind, but I was also afraid of failure and documenting that failure for IG to see, plus others participating in the challenge. I love calming down to yoga after work. Even though my body is like,"NO NO NO! STOP YOU ARE SO TIRED WHY WHY WHY?!" I make myself do it. I'm even more tire afterwards, but I sleep better and feel better, in general.

Yesterday, Mare Bear and I got together to yoga. Oh, man, that was super fun. We're gonna try to work on similar poses so we can photograph ourselves ~twinning~. Despite being tore up by mosquitoes, I want to go to the park again to yoga. Outdoors definitely made things interesting. Falling down just makes me laugh hysterically. This month, we have another challenge we're doing (#StraightToTheCore) on Instagram. Check out Mary on Instagram because she's not just an amazing yogi, but an amazing person. ❤︎ And in an effort to hold myself accountable and do #YogaEveryDamnDay, I created a tumblr just for all my things yoga.
