cinnamon bread, huzzah!

This post will be photo heavy, but I am rather excited about that. As you can see, I last updated a week ago. A WEEK AGO! I can't believe how much of a rut I have been in. I am still trying to figure out what is wrong/holding me back. However, I clearly had some push yesterday because I have photos to share. Yesterday was awesome. Jessica and I both had off. Her little brother's girlfriend, Erin, had the great idea to come over, make tasty ice cream, and watch movies. We also went on a family trip to Target, which yielded some pretty great results as you will see by my owl purse shortly. We made raspberry chocolate chip ice cream as well as cinnamon pull-apart bread which was the best idea ever. So delicious!

christmas and haircuts

Check out the sweet addition to our tree, courtesy of Erika. She was so grateful that I took her closing shift on Christmas Eve that she got me the owlie. I didn't really do anything for Christmas. Jess' mom came into town and we now have a doggy visiting. The cats have been going bonkers, not really knowing what to do. They're just special. They lived with Sammy-dog all summer so I don't get what the big deal is. Crazies.

Anyways, since Jess' mom was in town, we got our hairs cut. I still have long hair, but Jessica went for a dramatic change. It's super fucking cute, but what haircut doesn't look cute on that bitch? Jealous...(j-play, love you, bestie). I documented the cut (with some animals sprinkled in). Enjoy!

Some befores:

It says, "Embrace the suck."

Where'd it go?!

There it is!

scrabble, boggle, and best friends

i have been busy putting together a portfolio for COLOR magazine and curating a little fashion blog. it's really fun to just have some time off. i've had two days off. yesterday, i hung out with my best friend. that usually means a little bit of shopping, ice cream, and bad 90s teen movies. we watched clueless and it was amazing. we also played with the cat a little bit. her name is rose.

yesterday, i also purchased some new boots. my sister-in-law gave me a gift card to dsw. i decided that it's cold a lot more than it is warm so i needed warmer boots that i could wear everyday. durable boots. so that's what i purchased. my new coat also arrived. it's warm and long. i feel so prepared to take winter on. it hasn't been that cold, though. well, i guess thirteen degrees is pretty cold. my coat has been keeping me so warm that i don't realize how cold it actually is. amazing.

i've been playing a lot of word games on pogo. a little bit of scrabble and boggle. i'm getting better at coming up with words. i feel like such a wordsmith. i'm still playing in the beginner rooms, though. not quite up there with the "big dogs".
